RaySearch Laboratories AB (publ.) has received an order for its RayStation® treatment planning system from Radiotherapy Institute Friesland (RIF) in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.
RIF is an independent institute that provides radiation therapy to cancer patients in the Dutch province Friesland. The clinic has more than 100 employees and treats about 2000 patients annually with external or internal radiation therapy. RIF strives to maintain the highest level of care by using the latest technologies for radiation therapy and the clinic collaborates closely with other Frisian hospitals and the Dutch radiotherapy community."
At RIF RayStation® will replace the existing treatment planning system and will be used for all radiation treatments from contouring and conventional 3DCRT treatments to more advanced treatments such as IMRT and VMAT. RIF will also have access to RayStation® containing all the latest functionality for research purposes.
“RIF will be large installation for us and one of the leading clinics in the Netherlands so we are naturally very excited about this order. We look forward to working closely with the excellent staff at RIF to help them deliver radiation therapy of the highest quality to the Frisian cancer patients”, says Johan Löf, CEO of RaySearch.”
