Hallym University Medical Center selects RayStation®

RaySearch Laboratories AB has received an order for its RayStation® treatment planning system from Hallym University Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea.

Hallym University Medical Center (HUMC), one of the largest medical institutions in Korea, consists of six general hospitals: Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital, Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital and Hallym University Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital. HUMC operates 3,200 patient-beds at its hospitals with 6,000 employees including 500 medical professors.

HUMC will initially use RayStation® as its treatment planning system at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital and Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital for conventional 3D-CRT treatments, as well as more advanced treatments, such as IMRT and VMAT. Alongside the treatment planning and optimization components, the order also encompasses a fully integrated package of image processing tools such as automated organ segmentation and image fusion.
