RayCare v2026 introduces enhanced workflow visualization, improved interoperability, strengthened data security, and new capabilities for coordination, further supporting efficient and integrated cancer care.

Copy RayCare prescription in RayStation

Support has been added in RayStation to copy a series prescription from RayCare into a beam set prescription, reducing manual data entry during treatment planning.

  • The New/Edit plan dialog and the Define prescription dialog will display the button Copy prescription from RayCare.
  • Adding a prescription from RayCare will change the number of fractions and replace existing prescriptions with those defined in RayCare.

Visualization of workflow timeline

RayCare introduces a new timeline visualization (Gantt-style) of the Task List, presenting existing task information in a clear and intuitive way while improving overall overview. 

 

DICOM encryption

Encrypted DICOM communication is now supported for RayCare PACS, Modality Worklist, and Treatment Driver application entities, enhancing cybersecurity.

Expanded delivery interoperability treatment

RayCare extends support to several new treatment delivery platforms and introduces a RayCare treatment interface for IHE-RO standard interface TDW2. Now integrated with Hitachi Probeat, and enabling integration with other machine vendors supporting a TDW2 interface. 

Scripting improvements

The script editor is updated with better UI and support for IntelliSense showing suggestions based on the scripting API.

  • It is possible to cancel scripts
  • RayCare enables long running scripts
  • The Scripting API documentation has been significantly expanded with more detailed descriptions

Image viewer improvements

New side-by-side view is added in the image viewer for 2D image sets consisting of two or more images. 
In addition, a new contrast filter is added for 2D verification image sets from e.g., Varian TrueBeam that is applied by default when opening the image viewer.
