First to use RayCare clinically
Iridium Kankernetwerk, in the Antwerp region, is the largest radiation oncology department in Belgium with its annual 5300 patients. Iridium was first to use the RayCare oncology information system (OIS) clinically. Iridium has seen tremendous improvement since the implementation of RayCare in the department. RayCare in action at Provision
Provision CARES Proton Therapy in Nashville, USA became the first clinic to connect the oncology information system RayCare* directly to the treatment delivery system, using it to record and verify the treatment sessions. It was also the first clinic worldwide to use RaySearch software exclusively in 2018. Watch the video and hear about their experience!

Princess Margaret Cancer Centre – University Health Network in Toronto, Canada, is one of the largest comprehensive cancer treatment facilities in the world and the largest radiation treatment center in Canada. In July 2018, RaySearch and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre joined forces in a strategic partnership to further develop RayCare®. The implementation of RayCare at the center will follow a phased approach over several years. In each phase, capabilities will be added in RayCare and existing systems replaced. Ultimately, all activities in the oncology space will be coordinated through RayCare.

UMCG is the first hospital in the Netherlands that can provide proton radiation therapy in addition to current advanced photon irradiation techniques. The new proton center is equipped with IBA’s Proteus®PLUS two-gantry room configuration, including pencil beam scanning and cone beam CT capabilities. UMCG anticipates the center will treat around 600 patients per year. UMCG was the first to join the RayCare partnership and has helped to lay the foundations of RayCare

Heidelberg University Hospital is a world-leader in clinical practice and advanced research in areas such as carbon ion and helium ion beam therapy and is working to establish the city of Heidelberg as a leading center for research. The research partnership focuses on supporting comprehensive cancer care and will involve the hospital and the affiliated sites Heidelberg Ion Beam Therapy Center (HIT) and Marburg Ion Beam Therapy Center (MIT).
Another RayCare partner is the Department of Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. RayCare will be part of the department’s strong ultidisciplinary approach to cancer care and its focus on cutting-edge techniques. The university, which has long tradition of radiation therapy treatment, has recently selected RayStation as its treatment planning system and has already completed clinical implementation.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, collaborates with RaySearch on the development of RayCare™*, the next-generation oncology information system designed for the clinical workflow needs of today and tomorrow, since 2017. The agreement covers all of MD Anderson’s sites in the Greater Houston area, including five regional cancer centers. One goal of the collaboration is to enable clinical implementation of RayCare in a complex and large-scale environment.
The partnership developed further during 2018, when a strategic alliance to advance radiation therapy of cancer was announced. It will combine MD Anderson’s clinical data and expertise with the latest technology and platforms available through RaySearch.
