Lattice therapy is a form of spatially fractionated radiotherapy (SFRT) to treat bulky tumors. A new robust optimization technique is proposed. Shoot-through layers can also play a role for lattice. Can target partitioning reduce valley-to-peak dose for SFRT lattice VMAT? - Digital Poster

Followed a published lattice optimization protocol (for Eclipse) to create a standard VMAT, a target partitioning VMAT and a target partitioning SWO plan. Target partitioning gave lower valleys in the cranio-caudial plane but not in the transversal compared to equivalent VMAT with manually selected collimator angles (part of protocol). The effect of input uncertainty on the reproducibility of perfusion parameter maps - Digital Poster

Investigating the effect on computed quantitative perfusion parameter maps for different values of plausible estimated input values. Result was most sensitive to errors in T1 estimate, but errors in hematocrit, and timeshift also had an effect. Hybrid path planning for patient positioning robots - Poster Discussion

We present a novel path planning algorithm for patient positioning before external beam radiation therapy using a robotic couch. The approach combines a flexible nondeterministic planner for transporting patients close to the treatment position and a deterministic planner for controlled movements into treatment positions when close to the treatment head. The study is motivated by the clinical preference for a planner that is flexible enough to move the patient from various room positions, while simultaneously providing predictable movements around the treatment head.
