Physics Specialist Radiotherapy


Are you either newly graduated or an experienced medical physicist, with a passion for radiotherapy and customer relationships? As our new Physics Specialist you will work with RaySearch’s innovative software in a quest to fight cancer.

About the position

Starting as our new Physics Specialist you will, as well as Emil, join the diverse and dedicated physics specialists group located at our head office in central Stockholm. Together with the team, you will assist our customers in the beam commissioning process for our treatment planning system RayStation. You will be part of an international Service organization  that is also responsible for support and education of our customers.

You can start in this position both as junior or as experienced physicist, your new colleagues will adjust the introduction to your needs. Tasks and responsibilities will be adopted to your level of experience.


You will mainly work with:

  • Assisting and guiding new customers during the beam commissioning process.
  • Create and develop long term relationships with the customers, both by remote service and on-site visits (including about 30% traveling to customers, mostly in Europe)
  • Be part in teaching and organizing training in the RayStation commissioning tool and physics models, for both customers and distributors.
  • Managing support cases and collecting feedback from customers.
  • Demonstrating RayStation at trade shows and onsite for prospective customers.


Your profile

 You can be working as a physicist at a clinic, in another position related to radiotherapy as well as be graduated from the hospital/medical physicist program. Most important is your dedication and interest in being part of our journey. You enjoy a working day including both physics modeling and customer relations. You have a pedagogical approach and good communication skills which gives you the ability to give great service to customers. You are a good organizer and administrator, used to take own initiative and work independently with you work tasks.  You are analytical in terms of problem solving and have the ability to rapidly adapt and solve problems when situations change.

Experience & skills:

  • MSc in medical physics or equivalent
  • Basic linac and dosimetry knowledge
  • Ability to travel (about 30%)
  • Very good knowledge in English


It’s an advantage, but not necessary if you also have clinical experience from a radiotherapy department. If you are graduated, you have probably studied to become a certified hospital physicist. If you would have experience of education and trainings and multiple language skills, you will most certainly benefit from these skills in your new position.
