Software is an essential weapon in the fight against cancer and at RaySearch we are passionate about innovating radiation therapy. As a physicist with work experience in physics modeling or software development your skills can make a vital difference.

About the position

You will work in an agile team with senior and junior physicists, application developers and test specialists, all dedicated to designing and evolving the cutting-edge treatment planning system RayStation.

Our colleague Terese joined RaySearch five years ago. She has been working in many different challenging projects and is currently working as an agile product owner for the proton functionality. She shares her experience:

“We work with very interesting topics related to physics and you can specialize in different areas depending on your interests and skills. RaySearch is also a place where you feel very appreciated, and it’s a flexible environment that makes it easy to combine with private life.”

The physics group is a part of the RaySearch development department and is responsible for the physics algorithms and functionality for photon, electron, proton and carbon ion treatments. You will participate in all steps of the development process, including analysis, software design, implementation and testing. The physics algorithms are implemented in C++ and the application layers in C#/.NET. Over time you will also collaborate with customers and partners and if you are interested there are opportunities to be involved in more complex sales processes.
