About the position
This is a full-time role as a physicist and software developer, based at our head office in central Stockholm.
You will work in an agile team with other physicists, application developers and test specialists, all dedicated to designing and evolving cutting-edge medical software.
The physics group within RaySearch’s development department is responsible for physics algorithms and functionality for photon, electron, proton and carbon-ion treatments. You will participate in all steps of the development process, including analysis, software design, implementation and testing. The physics algorithms are implemented in C++ and the application layers in C#/.NET. In addition to the scrum team, members of the physics group also interact directly with customers and partners and are sometimes involved in more complex sales processes.
Education & Experience
- MSc in engineering physics or similar, with results and selected courses demonstrating a deep physics knowledge. Understanding of ionizing radiation is an advantage.
- 3-8 years of experience in an academic or industry environment, with a focus on solving physics modeling problems or software development. Junior applicants are welcome to apply for the junior development physicist position.
- Programming skills and interests are minimal prerequisites. Strong programming skills, especially in C++ and/or C#, and experience from development are advantages.
- Fluency in English is required. Fluency in Swedish is a strong advantage.
You have good analytical skills and a creative mindset. When working on a problem, you formulate the right questions, identify what is important and work in a goal-oriented way towards a solution. You are a strong team player who takes responsibility and contributes to a positive atmosphere. You take pride in delivering high-quality results with efficiency.
