RaySearch’s technology platform, ORBIT, functions as a general framework for solving optimization problems in radiation therapy. RaySearch continually renews and increases its existing solutions with further developed functionality, which is integrated and utilized within the framework for the basic product platform, ORBIT.

In order to pursue research and development in advanced radiation therapy, flexible and adequate software is needed. With this aim, we have designed the ORBIT Workstation; a Windows-based non- clinical system which functions as a research and development environment in companies.

The existing ORBIT functionality includes advanced software for optimization of IMRT planning for photons, adaptive technology for IMRT treatments, methods for more effective and automated quality assurance of radiation treatment and software for optimization of proton treatments.
